AMK files two police reports over death threats against PM


KUALA LUMPUR: Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK) filed two police reports today over a viral video showing a man issuing death threats against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the eviction process in Kampung Sungai Baru here.

Kuala Lumpur AMK Information chief Mohammad Rais Hamdan said the reports were lodged by Kuala Lumpur and Selangor AMK at the Dang Wangi Police headquarters at around 8pm.

Speaking to reporters after filing the reports, he said young people strongly condemned such death threats, which could undermine the long-standing harmony of the nation.

Earlier, a video went viral on TikTok showing a man issuing threats against Anwar and claiming that he had previously been detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Dang Wangi Police deputy chief Supt Nuzulan Mohd Din, when contacted, confirmed receiving the reports and said the case would be investigated by the Bukit Aman Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (USJT). - Bernama
