Mother and daughter hit the sweet note in Spain

JOHOR BARU: She had long dreamed of competing on the world stage, and this year, her wish came true with a sweeter ending when, together with her daughter, they won first prize in a piano duet in Spain.

Piano teacher P’ng Kher Ching said while her nine-year-old daughter, Kiyo Nai Yow Jia, had been competing and winning in music competitions for years, the victory was a first for the single mother.
