MetMalaysia warns of bad weather in most of peninsula Aug 18 evening


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned about thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in most parts most of Peninsular Malaysia until 9pm on Monday (Aug 18).

In a statement at 6.30pm on Monday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Kedah (Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu); Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim); Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas and Gua Musang); Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang; Selangor (Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat), the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and Negri Sembilan (Jempol).

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Betong (Pusa, Saratok and Kabong); Kapit (Kapit, Bukit Mabong and Belaga); Bintulu (Tatau) and Miri (Miri and Marudi).
