Tackling teen vaping Sarawak, ministry develops working paper

SIBU: The Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Ministry is drafting a working paper on tackling the issue of vaping among students in Sarawak.

Its Minister, Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, said Sarawak was among the states with the highest prevalence of vape use among teenagers.

“Therefore, the ministry is preparing a working paper to be presented to the state cabinet to obtain feedback and establish appropriate policies for implementation,” she said after the ministry’s Outreach Programme on Sunday (Aug 10).

She added that an awareness campaign to address the issue of vaping would also be launched.
