Sabah polls: GRS and Pakatan to continue electoral pact

Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor speaks at the PGRS annual general assembly at SICC.

KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Pakatan Harapan will continue their electoral pact for the upcoming Sabah polls, says Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

"We will continue the cooperation between GRS and Pakatan as it stands today," the GRS coalition chairman said after officiating the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah annual general assembly at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on Sunday (July 27).

When asked if the GRS component parties had agreed to the arrangement, he replied: "agreed."

Hajiji also said the seat allocation had not been finalised but there were "only a few things to sort out."

Earlier in his speech, Hajiji said since "Langkah Kinabalu" in 2023, GRS and Pakatan had formed a strong collaboration which continues today.

"We will maintain this strong collaboration. This is the partnership that can now bring real benefits," he said.

Earlier in his speech, Hajiji also said: "Our master is here, our master is not there," indicating that GRS, as a local Sabah-based coalition, intends to assert dominance in shaping Sabah's political course.
