AFTER 17 years, a single mother discovered the wedding jewellery gifted by her ex-husband was fake, Kosmo! reported.

Alice, 45, from Melaka is now left devastated after being told the truth by the shop where she tried to pawn the jewellery.

The jewellery consisting of three gold chains and a gold bar was supposed to be worth thousands of ringgit.

“I divorced my husband in 2022 and now take care of my 14-year-old son. Recently, I fell on some bad times, including an accident.

“I needed money, so I thought I could pawn one of the gold chains. But when I took it to the shop, I found out it was fake and worthless,” she said when met in Ayer Keroh.

Alice said what happened to her should be a reminder and a lesson to herself and other women.

> Actor, Niezam Zaidi, 33, has learned from past experiences about not being too vocal about personal stuff, especially about romantic relationships, Harian Metro reported.

Niezam, whose full name is Mohd Niezam Mohd Zaidi, said he refuses to be consumed by this, but is still concerned about the “evil eye”.

“I keep my comments to myself. Anyone who knows me and follows my personal stories know that I once used to be quiet vocal, sometimes to the point when something unplanned happened, it will ‘consume me’.

“Now, I leave everything to the Almighty. I’ve learned from experience. It has made me more mature.”

Niezam says he is more religious now and tries to stay away from negativity, including from those who want to bring him down.

“If people want to be jealous, I can’t do anything. I pray for them as well,” he said.

Niezam was also asked about a viral video of him playing pickleball with actress Fify Azmi.

He explained that them playing together was a friendly meet during a closed-door event.

“You won’t get me to comment on anything. I think she (Fify) is good at pickleball, so I invited her. We are friends, pray for the best,” he said.

Previously, Niezam and Fify’s relationship got the attention of some netizens, but Fify was quick to shoot down rumours of any special relationship.
