17,000 litres of diesel seized in Tawau smuggling attempt

KOTA KINABALU: The Marine Police (PPM) foiled a smuggling attempt involving 17,000 litres of subsidised diesel during a special operation in Felda Umas, Tawau, late on Friday (July 11) night.

Acting on a public tip-off, the PPM Region 4 team intercepted a tanker lorry at around 10.40pm and discovered diesel stored in the vehicle's main tank.
