KOTA BARU: The General Operations Force (GOF) has foiled an attempt to smuggle 19 tonnes of white rice from Thailand under Op Taring Wawasan.
GOF Southeast Brigade Commander Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid (pic) said the seizure was made after a team from GOF’s 9th Battalion spotted several men loading white sacks into the back of a trailer in Jalan Kampung Air Gatal, Tanah Merah, on Friday.
