MetMalaysia warns of bad weather in most parts of country until 10pm (June 17)


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has warned about thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in most pars of the country until 10pm on Tuesday (June 17).

In a statement at 7.15pm on Tuesday, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Batang Padang and Muallim); Kelantan (Pasir Mas, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Machang, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang); Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman); Pahang; Selangor (Hulu Selangor, Gombak and Hulu Langat); the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur; Negri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin) and Johor.

It also warned of bad weather in Sarawak affecting areas in Kuching; Samarahan (Samarahan and Asajaya); Sarikei; Sibu; Mukah; Kapit (Song and Kapit); Bintulu; Miri (Miri and Marudi) and Limbang.

Areas affected in Sabah are the interior (Sipitang and Tenom).
