RM1.5k fine for hurting woman


JOHOR BARU: An auxiliary policewoman was fined RM1,500 by a Magistrate’s Court here for hitting and injuring another woman at a mall here.

Nur Shazlin Muhammed Sanusi, 32, pleaded guilty to the charge of voluntarily causing hurt to the 34-year-old woman near the mall’s entrance at about 2.50pm on Jan 3.

According to the facts of the case, the accused hit the victim several times in the stomach and chest, and kicked her leg, which resulted in soft tissue injury.

The court also heard that the incident stemmed from an argument after she was provoked by the victim.

The offence was framed under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.

The court ordered Nur Shazlin to pay a fine of RM1,500 in default two months’ jail.
