S'gor MB continues to dismiss talk of Cabinet appointment

SHAH ALAM: Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari has downplayed talk of a potential Cabinet appointment following the resignation of two ministers recently.

"As of now, there aren’t any plans. It’s just talk, and it seems like imaginative speculation trying to impose itself on the public.

"Oh, the Sungai Tua seat will be vacated and so on; it’s not that simple," he said on Tuesday (June 3) after an e-bike handover ceremony at the Selangor police headquarters.

He also mentioned that the party has learned from history, citing the 2014 Kajang Move.

"Then there were at least two months of uncertainty, even though we had more than a two-thirds majority. I don’t think this should happen now, where the focus should be on realigning leadership and prioritising state and federal government matters," he said.
