Police investigate claims of boy climbing on sofa along guardrail before falling


PETALING JAYA: The police continue to investigate the death of a two-year-old boy following allegations that he had climbed a sofa placed next to the guardrail along the common pathway at an apartment in Precinct 9, Putrajaya, before falling.

Sinar Harian reported that Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Aidi Sham Mohamed said that the cause of death was still being investigated.

“Investigations found that the sofa was placed on the eighth floor, whereas the victim was reported to have fallen from the seventh floor of the apartment.

“It is still being investigated,” said Comm Aidi Sham.

The incident happened on Saturday (May 17).
