Three lives lost in dawn divider crash


KUALA LUMPUR: Three men were killed in an early morning accident after the car they were travelling in crashed into a road divider.

The Fire and Rescue Department here said the incident occurred along the Kuala Lumpur–Seremban Highway yesterday, heading towards the Sungai Besi toll plaza.

“Three men were crushed inside the car and firefighters took an hour to remove all victims.

“The police pronounced them dead at the scene.

“The bodies have been handed over to the police for further action,” the department said in a statement.

KL Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said that the victims were aged between 29 and 32.

“The vehicle went out of control while taking a left turn; it then crashed into a concrete road divider.

“Witnesses are urged to come forward to assist the police in their investigations,” he said.
