Body of unidentified man found in Tawau drain


KOTA KINABALU: The body of a man has been found in a drain in Kampung Titingan, Tawau near here.

Police confirmed the discovery of the body, after pictures and videos went viral.

Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin said police received a call from the public at about noon on Tuesday (April 29) alerting them of the discovery.

"Police were dispatched to the scene and found the body whose identity has yet to be determined," he said in a statement.

The body was sent to Tawau Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Police have classified the case as sudden death.
