AN INDIAN teenager, abandoned by her parents since childhood, has received her MyKad after a 12-year battle, reported Makkal Osai.
The girl, identified as Nishalini, was left at the Sanathana Dharma Ashram Foster Home for Underprivileged Children, an orphanage run by the Manjung Hindu Sabha. Ashram founder and chairman Aramban Sellappa stated that they had been trying to obtain Nishalini’s documents, starting with her birth certificate.
