22 foreigners held in raids on Sg Besi recycling factories


PETALING JAYA: 22 foreigners, believed to have been employed illegally, have been detained by the Immigration Department in raids on three recycling factories around Sungai Besi.

Immigration director-general Datuk Zakaria Shaaban said the raids were part of a special operation that began at 11am on Tuesday (April 22) and involved officers from the department's Intelligence and Special Operations Division and the Peninsular Malaysia Labour Department.
