Public invited to tahlil recital for Pak Lah, says KJ


PETALING JAYA: The public is invited to attend a tahlil ceremony for the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who passed away on Monday (April 14).

His son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, said the session would be held after Maghrib prayers at the National Mosque.

"On behalf of the family, I wish to inform that the tahlil recital will continue on Wednesday (April 16) and Thursday (April 17) at the National Mosque. The session on Thursday will also include the recitation of Surah Yasin.

"We warmly invite all who can join us,” he said in a Facebook post.

Fondly known as Pak Lah, Malaysia’s fifth premier, died at 7.10pm on Monday at the National Heart Institute. He was 85.

He was laid to rest with full state funeral honours at the Warriors’ Mausoleum at 2.30pm on Tuesday (April 15). — Bernama
