Sustainable development and inclusive growth among key topics at 2025 KL Dialogue

PETALING JAYA: Sustainable development, regional cooperation and inclusive growth will be among the focus topics in the upcoming 2025 Kuala Lumpur Dialogue.

The dialogue, jointly hosted by the Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (Insap) and the Academy of Contemporary China and World Studies, will take place from 8.30am to 1pm on Thursday (April 17) at Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel.

According to Insap, the dialogue is expected to see 200 delegates participating, including policymakers, industry leaders, researchers and academicians.

“With a focus on sustainable development, regional cooperation and inclusive economic growth, the dialogue aims to serve as a platform for robust exchange of ideas amid shifting global dynamics.

“Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who is also MCA president and former transport minister, is slated to officiate the event,” it said in a statement on Tuesday (April 14).

Two keynote speakers are also scheduled: China’s former vice finance minister Zhu Guangyao and former assistant foreign affairs minister Hu Zhengyue.

Insap added that the joint effort underscores the importance of cross-border dialogue in strengthening regional resilience and envisioning a shared future in a complex global environment.
