Car skids into ravine near Tapah, four injured


IPOH: A car carrying four Yemeni men skidded and fell into a 4.6m (15 feet) deep ravine at Batu 23, Jalan Pahang in Tapah.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a distress call at about 10pm on Tuesday (April 1).

He said one of the victims suffered a broken arm, while the other three were not injured.

"The Operations Commander conducted a size-up and applied the Saver concept.

Team members were instructed to use a stretcher to evacuate the injured victim and provided initial treatment before handing him over to medical personnel for further action," he said.
