Toddler reunited with parents after wandering from home in the wee hours

SERDANG: A three-year-old child has been found safe after she was spotted walking alone in the early morning after wandering out of her home.

Serdang OCPD Asst Comm AA Anbalagan said a 27-year-old consultant spotted the girl after having a meal in Serdang Perdana at 3.42am on Friday (March 28).

"The girl was walking alone, carrying RM2, in front of a restaurant there.

"The man then brought her to the Seri Kembangan police station after she failed to show him the way back to her home," he said in a statement.

"At 7.50am, her parents came to the police station after realising that she was missing.

"It is believed that she left her home via an unlocked door," he added.

Investigations found that the girl had wandered about 100m from the security post of her apartment building.

"The girl was returned to her parents after custody was determined via her birth certificate and the parents' ICs," he said, adding that the girl was uninjured.
