Selangor Customs seizes firecrackers, rice and scrap metal worth over RM18mil


PORT KLANG: Selangor Customs has thwarted an attempt to smuggle rice, firecrackers and scrap metal worth RM18.32mil, including duties and taxes, in a recent operation.

Central Zone assistant director-general Dr Ahmad Taufik Sulaiman said the seizures were carried out under Ops Barrier, conducted from Jan 20 to 30, and Ops Petasan from March 3 to Friday (March 28).
