Enhance unity, harmony to safeguard Malaysia's unique diversity, urges Tiong

KUALA LUMPUR: Safeguard Malaysia’s unique diversity by enhancing unity and harmony, urges Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing.

The Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister said that only by ensuring there is respect with one another that the stability of the country can be preserved.

“This diversity makes Malaysia unique, and we proudly showcase this to the world through our tourism industry.

“Malaysia’s rich heritage, culture, traditions, and wellness retreats offer unique experiences that cater to the rising global demand for cultural and health-conscious travel,” he said at his ministry’s Iftar Evening here on Wednesday (March 26).

Foreign ambassadors, business leaders and tourism players were among those attended the event.

Tiong also called for strong public-private partnerships and collaboration to further promote Visit Malaysia 2026.

“With strong public-private partnerships and cross-border collaborations, we can elevate Malaysia as a premier destination, ensuring long-term sustainability and global recognition.

“This Iftar evening is a symbol of Malaysia’s hospitality. We want visitors to feel at home, experience our traditions, and enjoy our country’s beauty,” he added.
