Queen extends aid to tithe recipients, single mothers


JOHOR BARU: Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, extended donations to 300 recipients comprising asnaf and single mothers.

The contributions were handed over by Her Highness Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor and Her Highness Tunku Tun Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah Sultan Ibrahim, during an iftar event at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre here on Sunday (March 23).

Also present at the event was the Johor State Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman, Mohd Fared Mohd Khalid.

Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda and Tunku Aminah also took time to engage with the attendees, spending about 15 minutes interacting and sharing warm exchanges.

Organised by the Johor State Secretary's Office, the event was attended by staff from various state government departments and agencies.- Bernama
