Body of man found in Klang River near Angkasapuri train station

PETALING JAYA: The body of a man, believed to be a foreigner, has been found in the river near Abdullah Hukum in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Firemen from the Pantai Fire and Rescue Department were deployed to the scene after a call was made to MERS999 and police requested assistance to retrieve the body at 6.49pm on Sunday (March 9).

"The victim was found near the Angkasapuri KTM Komuter station," said the Fire and Rescue Department in a statement on Sunday.

They added that the body was eventually retrieved near the PPR Seri Pantai flats.

"The identity of the victim is unknown and the body has been handed over to the police for further action," they said, adding that the operation took more than an hour.
