PKR’s Chang undecided on contesting in party elections

GEORGE TOWN: PKR vice-president Chang Lih Kang has not yet decided whether he will contest in the upcoming party elections this year.

The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister said he would announce his decision at an appropriate time.

"I have not yet decided whether I will run in the party's election in May," he said.

"I will announce when there is a decision," he added.

"This event is not the right place to make decisions about party selection," he said after a press conference at the AI Horizon – Shaping the Future with Penang’s Talent event at SPICE Convention Centre on Monday (Feb 24).

Chang was asked by the press about the coming party elections in May 2025 and whether he will be contesting.

On Jan 26, PKR Secretary-General Dr Fuziah Salleh confirmed that party elections will proceed on May 24.

Contests will be open for all posts on the Supreme Council, Women's wing, and Youth wing for the 2025-2028 term.
