Over 3,000 nurses to be recruited this year


MORE than 3,000 nurses will be recruited this year to fill permanent positions in public health facilities, said Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad (pic), while the government will appoint about 3,200 contract medical officers.

The Health Minister said the ministry is also aiming to appoint 3,000 trainee doctors or “housemen” to be placed in 49 Graduate Training Hospitals (HLS) nationwide.
