THE community at Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) Besut was taken by surprise following the discovery of a juvenile saltwater crocodile (pic) that had strayed into a retention pond on campus, reported Kosmo!.
The reptile, approximately one metre long, was found trapped in a net in the pond at 8.30am on Sunday.
The young crocodile was discovered by a general worker who was carrying out cleaning tasks at the pond, said Terengganu Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) director Loo Kean Seong.
The reptile is believed to have entered the retention pond from a nearby river.
The UniSZA worker successfully captured the crocodile before handing it over to the Besut Perhilitan office.
“The reptile will be released back into its natural habitat nearby soon,” said Loo.
> Hanif Zaki, the husband of actress Anzalna Nasir, revealed that his wife has been researching special schools for their children since the movement control order (MCO), the same daily reported.
Hanif, 38, shared that his wife is very meticulous when it comes to their children’s future, particularly their education.
“Anzalna is extremely detail-oriented, especially regarding education, which is why she chose to step away from acting.
“She wants to focus on raising our children first, and I’m grateful for that as it allows me to concentrate on work.
“She started researching schools during the MCO, even when our child was still a baby,” he told the daily on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Anzalna said that she has no specific preference as long as the school provides a comfortable environment for her child.
“As parents, we work for our children’s future.
“So naturally, we want to provide them with the best,” Anzalna said.
