Couple killed in accident on Jalan Kuala Pilah-Simpang Pertang


JEMPOL: A couple was killed when a car crashed into their motorcycle at KM17 of Jalan Kuala Pilah-Simpang Pertang.

Jempol police chief Supt Hoo Chang Hook said the 28-year-old man and his 40-year-old wife died on the spot in the 2.30pm accident.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that the 31-year-old driver lost control of his car while negotiating a bend and crashed into the victims' motorcycle. The couple suffered serious head injuries while the car driver escaped unscathed," he said in a statement.

Supt Hoo urged eyewitnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Amirul Syafiq Mohd Yusof at 016 234 8669 to assist in investigations.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
