Workers kill boss over scolding and firing

FOUR men in India beat to death their supervisor, who had scolded one of them for leaving work early, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Sai Prasad, 45, was a supervisor at a shipping container yard in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

He had apparently reprimanded a 25-year-old employee, identified only as Balaji, for leaving before his shift replacement was in place the night before.

This led to an argument, which ended when Sai Prasad fired Balaji and told him not to come to work the next day.

Balaji, along with three of his friends, aged between 20 and 27, who also worked at the shipping container yard, decided to take their revenge on the supervisor.

They snuck into his quarters at the yard later in the night and proceeded to brutally beat him to death with hammers.

The assailants, who then fled, are now being hunted by the authorities.
