PUTRAJAYA: The Education Ministry (MOE) is committed to strengthening the anti-corruption agenda through the implementation of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) 2024-2028.
MOE, in a statement on Sunday (Feb 9) said as the lead ministry for Strategy 1: Education, it is responsible for raising awareness and knowledge about anti-corruption through the implementation of six sub-strategies, divided into short-and medium-term phases.
Under Sub-strategy 5 of NACS 2024-2028, MOE successfully launched the ‘Duta Sahsiah Kit’ on Nov 25 last year, serving as a catalyst for shaping the ‘karamah insaniah’ character among students, which is based on noble values and exemplary conduct.
"The Duta Sahsiah Kit is also in line with the ministry’s main focus for 2025, which is to enhance the delivery of education services and expand the concept of Generasi Madani MOE to all civil servants and educational institutions.
"The kit includes various training modules and reference materials covering aspects such as communication, leadership, and problem-solving, which are key elements in developing the ‘karamah insaniah’ character,” the statement read.
MOE also said that the Duta Sahsiah (Character Ambassadors) are selected as role models to promote and practice noble values and positive behaviors, including discipline, integrity and responsibility.
"MOE is committed to strengthening ethics, integrity and anti-corruption awareness through education, as outlined in NACS 2024-2028.
"This is crucial in combating corruption, which remains one of the key agendas in national reforms,” MOE added. - Bernama
