Three arrested in Kluang for criminal intimidation


KLUANG: Police have arrested three men regarding a criminal intimidation case in front of a house on Jalan Gunung Lambak, Taman Gunung Lambak, here.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said the police received a report regarding the incident at 12.56pm on Tuesday (Feb 4).

“Acting swiftly on the information, a team from the Criminal Investigation Department of IPD Kluang apprehended the suspects at the scene around 1.30pm.

“The three arrested individuals, aged 34 to 43, were found to have prior criminal records.

“The first and second suspects had past offences related to criminal activities, while the third suspect had previous records for both criminal and drug-related offences,” he said in a statement here on Wednesday (Feb 5).

ACP Bahrin added that, however, urine tests conducted on all three suspects returned negative results for drug use.

The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.

The police urge the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or contact IPD Kluang via 07-7784222 or the hotline at 07-7766822.
