PETALING JAYA: A group of five including two children were saved from their burning vehicle following an accident at KM7.6 of the Lekas Expressway.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the incident occurred at about 11.45pm on Tuesday (Feb 4).

"The driver lost control of the vehicle and it swerved off-road.

"The impact of the crash caused the vehicle to catch fire," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Feb 5).

He said five victims- three adults and two children - were saved from the blazing car.

"Only one of them suffered a minor injury.

"They were saved and handed over to medical personnel for early treatment.

"We managed to get the fire under control and eventually put it out fully," he said.
