COSMETICS entrepreneur Nia Syaqiera Sabri gifted her husband a floral arrangement of bank notes totalling RM31,000 to mark his 31st birthday on Jan 18.

She had been saving for it over the past year after she presented him with a cheque for RM18,194 last year to symbolise his date of birth, Harian Metro reported.

“Yes, it is a huge sum of money. But it can’t be compared to the sacrifices he made since we got married (nine years ago),” she said.

Nia Syaqiera, 30, said her husband Mohamad Rahim Md Asri had teared up upon getting the cash bouquet.

“In fact, he shared some of the money with my mother and me, even though I tried to turn it down.”

She said her husband also used some of the money to give his eight employees RM1,000 each.

> Actress Bella Astillah was teased after she posted photos of herself with Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman on Mount Kinabalu, both wearing traditional Malay attire in matching colours.

“We have succeeded in climbing Mount Kinabalu in baju raya,” said Bella, 31, as reported by Kosmo! Online.

It led to good-natured teasing from social media users.

“You have ascended the mountain, now it’s time to go up the wedding dais,” someone remarked.

Another question was directed at Syed Saddiq, 32.

“Now that you have conquered Mount Kinabalu, when will YB capture Bella’s heart?”
