Corporate clients and friends pay The Star Penang bureau a visit for CNY


GEORGE TOWN: As the Chinese New Year approaches, corporate clients and friends visited The Star Pitt St office in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling to celebrate the festive season.

Among the guests were TG Ocean Health Food Industries Sdn Bhd's executive director Choong Jin Kooi and administrative director Koay Kai Bin, who shared information about their products with Star Media Group (SMG) deputy news editor Tan Sin Chow.

Choong and Koay discussed strengthening their collaboration with SMG, focusing on enhancing their partnership through advertising.

Representatives from Sunway Medical Centre and Sunway Hotel also presented festive gifts to SMG, received by SMG client brand marketing team lead Andy Tan.

Sunway Medical Centre's business development and corporate communications senior manager Abbey Ong and Sunway Hotel's senior sales manager Stephanie Khor spent about 30 minutes with Andy discussing their companies' direction and future plans.

Iconic Hotel Penang marked the Chinese New Year celebrations by visiting and touring the office, led by Sin Chow, for the hotel’s marketing communications executives Lee Pei Ying and Tan Sin Tien.

During the visit, Lee and Sin Tien explored the office, connected with the team, and discussed potential collaborations.

Tech Dome Penang, led by its senior marketing and communications manager Oun Sui Leng, brought festive gifts for SMG staff members.

SMG journalist Imran Hilmy provided a behind-the-scenes look at the process of filing stories and insights into newsroom operations.

Oun shared details of an exciting event, AI Horizon, scheduled to take place at Setia Spice Arena in August, which will bring together multinational companies to showcase cutting-edge AI technologies.

The event will feature diverse programmes and activities, offering visitors a comprehensive and engaging experience.

Also visiting SMG to celebrate the festive season were representatives from Penang Marriott Hotel and Executive Apartments, LohGuanLye Specialists Centre, Northern Heart Hospital Penang, and Penang Adventist Hospital.

These visits further strengthened ties and highlighted the growing network of partners supporting SMG.
