Felda manager nabbed by MACC for misappropriating RM10,000


JOHOR BARU: A Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) manager from Kulai has been detained by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for alleged abuse of power.

According to a source, the 43-year-old planning manager was detained at the Johor MACC office around 7pm on Wednesday (Jan 22).

The suspect had allegedly abused his power as the development planning committee chairman and misappropriated over RM10,000 of allocations from a fund meant for plantations and agricultural roads for his personal use.

When contacted, Johor MACC Datuk Azmi Alias confirmed that the Felda official has been detained, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009.
