December 2024 Supplementary Electoral Roll open for review, says EC

PUTRAJAYA: The Supplementary Electoral Roll for December 2024 (DPT BLN12/2024) can be reviewed over 30 days from Wednesday (Jan 22) until Feb 22, says Election Commission (EC) secretary Datuk Ikmalrudin Ishak.

He said the DPT BLN12/2024, which was certified and gazetted on Wednesday, contains the names of 42,333 citizens aged 18 and above who were automatically registered as new voters between Dec 1 and Dec 31, 2024.

"In addition, it includes 7,844 registered voters who changed constituencies and 2,814 voters who changed voting categories or statuses,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Ikmalrudin noted that the EC provides five methods for checking the roll: the EC portal at https://www.spr.gov.my or https://mysprsemak.spr.gov.my, the official portals of State Election Offices at http://ppn.spr.gov.my, and the online application at https://myspr.spr.gov.my.

Other methods are the MySPR Semak mobile application and the Voter Registration Checking hotline at 03-8892 7218.

He urged citizens aged 18 and above from Dec 1 to 31, 2024, and registered voters who have applied to change constituencies, voter categories, or statuses to check their names in the DPT BLN12/2024.

If their names are not listed in the DPT BLN12/2024, they may file a claim by completing Form C via the online application at https://myspr.spr.gov.my or by visiting the relevant State Election Office. – Bernama
