Three flee cops, leaving woman holding the bag


Wrecked: The car left abandoned after a police pursuit that resulted in a woman being detained. Three men who were in the car fled the scene.

KOTA KINABALU: After a high-speed car chase with the police hot on their heels, three suspected cable thieves not only abandoned their car but also their female accomplice.

The drama began at 3.30am on Friday when officers patrolling along Jalan Kolopis in Penampang spotted a suspicious-looking vehicle and signalled to the driver to stop for inspection, said Penampang police chief Supt Sammy Newton.
