Security guard pleads not guilty to weapons possession in Kota Baru

KOTA BARU: A security guard has claimed trial at the Sessions Court here to a charge of unlawful possession of dangerous weapons.

Nik Azahar Mohamed, 51, was charged with possessing three machetes measuring 51cm, 60cm, and 62cm at Taman KUB, Kampung Chica, Kubang Kerian, here at 2.10am on Jan 13.

The charge was framed under Section 7(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Dangerous Weapons Act, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment if convicted.
