Man found in running car in Sabah declared dead


KOTA KINABALU: A 69-year-old man was declared dead after being brought out of a car with its engine running here on Sunday (Jan 5).

Fire and Rescue Department personnel brought the man out of the car after receiving alerts from the public that an unconscious man was found in a car along Jalan Bukit Temasu, Taman Sinar.

Lintas fire station chief Agustavia Joe Guasi said they received a call about the incident at 10.03am, and a team was dispatched.

“When our personnel arrived, they had to use special equipment to open the locked door,” she said.

Medical officials at the scene declared the man dead after their examination.

The body was then handed over to the police for further action.

Firemen completed their operations on site at 10.22am.
