Mohamad Hasan pays fine for smoking in prohibited area

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has paid the fine after being issued a compound for smoking in a prohibited area.

The Foreign Minister confirmed on Saturday (Dec 21) that he paid the compound a day after receiving the notice from the Seremban district health officer.

"I have made the payment," he said.

Last week, a photograph of Mohamad smoking in a prohibited area went viral.

In response, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said health officers would meet Mohamad to deliver the notice.

Mohamad has since apologised for the incident.
