Cops investigate brutal cat killing in Setapak


KUALA LUMPUR: Cops are investigating the brutal attack that killed three cats in Setapak.

A photo of the killed felines has since gone viral on social media.

Wangsa Maju OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Lazim Ismail said the carcasses of the cats were discovered on the steps of a student quarters of a private university at Jalan Genting Klang in Setapak.

"The cats were found with their heads bloodied.

"We believe the incident occurred on Nov 17. The student informed a security guard of the carcasses found, and a police report was lodged" he said in a statement on Friday (Nov 29).

He said the police have opened an investigation paper under Section 428 of the Penal Code.

"We are still investigating," he said.
