PUTRAJAYA: The submission of the Real Property Gains Tax (RPGT) Form via e-CKHT (Cukai Keuntungan Harta Tanah) on the MyTax portal will be mandatory from Jan 1 next year.

The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) said the submission of the RPGT Form can be done at https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/.

“Visit the website and log into MyTax by selecting the type of identification and enter your password.

“If you do not have a Tax Identification Number (TIN), an application can be made by registering for a TIN via the e-Daftar link on MyTax.

“Users need to select the ezHASIL Services menu > eCKHT, choose the type of RPGT Form and fill in the relevant information,” the tax revenue agency said in a statement, Bernama reported.

LHDN said that authorised lawyers and licensed tax agents appointed are granted the authority to access e-CKHT on behalf of taxpayers.

Licensed tax agents can do so via the TaeF System Version 2.0, and lawyers via the Lawyer Role in MyTax.

LHDN assured it is committed to enhancing the quality of its service and becoming a more flexible and dynamic facilitator agency, as well as maintaining its relevance and exceeding the expectations of all parties.

“The mandatory implementation of form submission via e-CKHT aligns with the technological transformation and the process of digitisation undergone by the tax service system in an effort to improve LHDN services for taxpayers in handling RPGT matters without the need for taxpayers to visit the office,” it added.
