Couple detained for trying to smuggle in eight Myanmar nationals at Bukit Kayu Hitam


ALOR SETAR: A couple were arrested when they allegedly tried to smuggle eight Myanmar nationals into the country using a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at KM 5.2 of the North-South Expressway near Bukit Kayu Hitam, on Sunday (Nov 24).

Kubang Pasu district police chief Supt Mohd Redzuan Salleh said a team of police from the Bukit Kayu Hitam Police Station on a smuggling prevention task came across a Perodua Alza MPV driven under suspicious circumstances.
