Probe paper of NSE crash involving police escort being finalised, says Bukit Aman


KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman is waiting for a report from Puspakom to assist in the investigation of an accident involving a civilian vehicle and a police vehicle at KM259 on the North-South Expressway (NSE).

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said police are completing the investigation paper (IP) of the incident, which occurred while the police vehicle was escorting a VIP on Saturday (Nov 16).

"We have already recorded the statements of those involved.

"We are investigating under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987," he said when contacted on Tuesday (Nov 19).

He said once the Puspakom report is ready, the IP will be referred to the deputy public prosecutor, he said.

It was reported that Bukit Aman was investigating Saturday's accident.

"We received a report on the accident involving two cars in Seremban," he said.

On Sunday (Nov 17), a 1min, 4sec video went viral showing a police vehicle hitting the back of a civilian vehicle.

The post has since received 23,000 views and 326 reactions.
