A GLOBAL conference that brings together the Tamil diaspora to improve trade opportunities and further develop the community as a whole is scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur this week, Makkal Osai reported.
The 11th World Tamils Economic Conference and Global Economic Summit 2024 will gather Malaysian and Indian leaders and luminaries of the community on Nov 15-17 at the KL Convention Centre.
Organised by the World Tamils Economic Foundation, this year’s event will be hosted by the reception committee led by National Land Finance Co-Operative Society managing director Datuk B. Sahadevan.
Conference founder and lawyer Dr VRS Sampath will be attending as the special guest.
Tamil Nadu senior minister and ruling DMK party secretary-general Durai Murugan and Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly speaker Muthuvelayudha Perumal Appavu are scheduled as speakers.
