Rainy day blues in Parliament as Dr Wee notes subdued atmosphere

PETALING JAYA: As the ongoing Parliament meeting enters its third week, Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong noted a subdued atmosphere in the august House on Monday (Oct 28).

“The Dewan is not very happening today, perhaps due to the rain outside,” the Ayer Hitam MP said in a Facebook post Monday.

The MCA president said that Budget 2025 is currently being debated at the policy stage in Parliament.

“Many MPs are still waiting for their turns to participate in the debate,” Dr Wee said.

There are 32 MPs slated to debate Budget 2025 at the policy stage on Oct 28, with each MP allocated 13 minutes each.

The ongoing Parliament meeting that began on Oct 14 will end on Dec 12.
