Body of foreigner with multiple stab wounds found in Johor


JOHOR BARU: The body of a 50-year-old foreign national believed to have been stabbed about 16 times was found in a shophouse area in Taman Abad here.

Johor Baru South deputy OCPD Supt Lim Jit Huey said the incident was reported at around 7.25pm on Wednesday (Oct 23).

“A witness reported the incident after finding the man covered in blood at a shophouse in the area.

“We found about 16 stab wounds upon inspection on the victim’s body,” he said on Thursday (Oct 24).

Supt Lim said police are in the process of looking for the suspects and murder weapon.

The case is investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

He urged those with information about the incident to contact the police by calling the Johor Baru South hotline at 07-218 2323 or report to the nearest police station.
