UiTM Puncak Alam student dies after collapsing


SUNGAI BULOH: A student of Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Puncak Alam Campus, here collapsed in the faculty and died on Monday (Oct 21).

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said the police received a report of the incident 8.13pm, reported Sinar Harian.

He said the incident was reported to have happened at about 5pm when the hospitality major student suddenly collapsed while at the Hospitality Faculty.

"The male student was confirmed dead at the emergency ward of UiTM Puncak Alam Hospital, and his body was taken to Sungai Buloh Hospital for an autopsy," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Oct 22).

Mohd Hafiz said the investigation was classified as sudden death.

Meanwhile, the Bachelor in Office System Society (BOSS) UiTM Puncak Alam launched a donation fund for the family of the deceased, Muhammad Faiz Mohd Sazali, 20.

The fund will be open for three days, from Oct 22 to Oct 24.

Donations can be channelled to Maybank account 156020233689 in the name of Nor Afni Md Sari, a BOSS advisor.
