PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is dealing with floods in the north of the peninsula but this is not a problem endemic to one country.

Many countries around the world, from the United States to Japan, are grappling with serious floods.

One thing remains constant – local authorities have to deal with the fallout as the people pick up the storm-battered pieces and rebuild their lives.
