Actress moved to tears by filial piety at her wedding

TAIWANESE actress Joe Chen could not hold back tears as she served her parents tea during the traditional tea ceremony at her wedding recently, reported China Press.Chen, 45, held her wedding reception in Langkawi with tycoon Alan Chen, 36, on Sept 22.

“I thought I would not cry. But when I was kneeling in front of my mother and father and serving them tea, my tears just could not stop falling,” she said.

It was reported that Chen met her Malaysian husband on a dating show.

They got married in March 2022.

The 47-year-old was recently invited to perform at the Greater Bay Area Film and Music Gala 2024 in Macau alongside other big names such as Huang Xiaoming, Jackie Chan, Karen Mok, and Leo Ku.

It marked Wang’s first ever performance in the company of other celebrities since his comeback to music last year.

The crooner delivered one of his classics Our Song. Chan was seen clapping to the beat below the stage and Huang was seen recording the performance with his phone.

Wang later posted on social media, thanking his peers for their support.

It was reported that in 2021, Wang’s ex-wife Lee Jinglei accused him of various misdeeds throughout their marriage, including multiple infidelities, soliciting prostitutes and being verbally abusive towards her.

In response to the allegations, Wang apologised to his family and fans and announced that he would be taking a career break. He made his comeback to the entertainment scene last year.
